Emily Katske is currently Animation Director at Heart Machine, and she has spent many years as an animator for games, both in the indie and AAA space. Emily worked at small start-ups such as the early days of Squanch Games, as well as the highly established Treyarch on Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Her experience is similarly well rounded within animation - she's worked extensively with motion capture as well as hand key. Her resume is a wonderful mix and has led her to be a very well-rounded and flexible developer.
While she loves the craft of animation fiercely, her favorite part of the job is empowering her team. Seeing them grow and thrive is the most rewarding part of her job. She is so excited to extend that to the many talented developers attending GDC 2022.
