Carina Kom (she/hers) is a video game director, producer, and games industry advocate with ties to Vancouver, Seattle, and Toronto. With 14+ years experience in the video game industry - working in indie and AAA teams such as EA, Microsoft, Unity, and more - she has shipped content to multiple Gen4 and Gen5 platforms. She also operates two not-for-profit organizations as a philanthropist knowing innovation can happen at any scale, because she seeks to bolster Canadian talent while helping others. As a LGBTQ+ woman, she represents an underrepresented role and finds immense joy in connecting the dots for people working in game development. When she is not making fun happen (fyi, fun comes with the job and is mandatory), she can be found drinking tea and rum, and visiting her grandma on the weekend.
