April Johnson is the Associate Director of Narrative at Gearbox Software where she is equal parts storyteller and organizer of creative chaos. She works with teams to help them create engaging stories and worlds that stick with players long after the console has powered down. April's portfolio spans nine years at Gearbox and includes titles such as Borderlands 3, Borderlands 4, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. She is also co-creator, writer, and actor in the transmedia project Borderlands: Dead ECHOS, and she co-hosts Gearbox's DevCast series, spotlighting the artists, designers, engineers, and storytellers behind the games while giving audiences a deeper look into the creative process.
