Sessions do fill up and seating is first come, first serve, so arrive early to sessions that you would like to attend. Adding a session to your schedule does not guarantee you a seat.

Jakub MarszałkowskiCo-Founder and Board MemberIndie Games Poland

Jakub developed online strategy games, in different positions, for over 15 years. Now is one of the founders and members of the Board of the Indie Games Poland, a developer organization. He takes care of cooperation with foreign associations and organizers of conferences and trade fairs as the ambassador and promoter of Polish games abroad. For that, he was honored with the Annual Award of the Ministry of Culture in the category of Digital Culture as an organizer and promoter working for game developers. Jakub is also head of the Game Industry Conference in Poznań. What started 12 years ago as a student meetup was then developed into the biggest and most significant event for half of Europe. Researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications at the Poznan University of Technology. Awarded scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Ph.D. students for outstanding achievements. Holds a Ph.D. in technical sciences in the field of information science, with distinction, and Doctor Euroapeus' Mention, the first one in the history of this faculty. He teaches game design (one of the best-rated courses at the faculty), supervises students' projects, and runs game jams and other events. Jakub is judging in numerous game competitions in Poland and abroad. Since 2019, he is leading research projects on the game industry in Poland and Europe. Jakub is the main author of a key study on the industry, "The Game Industry of Poland", editions 2020-2022. He is also the main author and editor of the Polish report and guidebook on higher education for the game industry in Poland.
