With this Session Viewer, you can view session and speaker details for Game Developers Conference 2024.You will be able to build your schedule with the GDC Mobile App. The GDC 2024 app will be available for download in Apple Apps and Google Play late February 2024.
Sessions do fill up and seating is first come, first serve, so arrive early to sessions that you would like to attend. Adding a session to your schedule does not guarantee you a seat.
Kelly Murphy has worked in Game Development for 24 years, starting in QA with Acclaim Entertainment and eventually working his way into Game Design, initially with Microsoft Games. He has worked at Avalanche Software for 18+ years, with experience in game direction, narrative design, mechanics, systems, level and combat design for WB Games, castAR, Disney Interactive, Take-Two Interactive and Microsoft Games over his career. On Hogwarts Legacy, Kelly worked closely with the Game Director in aligning on overall game design and direction, communicating decisions outward throughout production. He created a visual means of communicating the overall structure and flow of the game to the team, comprising of 150+ missions, 20+ spells, over 4 seasons. Kelly likes to think he's a champion of a "player fantasy first" game design approach, much to the chagrin of his "systems first" teammates. He believes in primarily identifying not only the most desired fantasies players expect from a game, but also how best to serve and defend them, allowing the game to become what it will with this approach, warts and all.
