I'm Devashree Shirude, a software engineer at PlayStation, where I develop delightful cross-platform experiences for players. Originally from India, I came to the United States to pursue a master's degree at USC. Building my career while navigating the immigration process has shaped how I think about opportunity, uncertainty, and the support international developers need. I believe open communication and sharing our experiences can help people ask better questions and make more informed decisions. At GDC, I hope my story helps other international developers feel less alone and gives their colleagues a clearer understanding of the challenges we face.
