Ekaterina Strakhova, Senior Interface Designer, Owlcat Games
My professional career began with landscape architecture, where I first became interested in how people perceive space and information. This curiosity led me into UX design and game dev. For over 8 years now, I have been designing user experiences and interfaces for mobile, PC, and console games. I focus on information architecture, cognitive processes, accessibility, and in-game behavior. My master's degree in cyberpsychology helps to apply a scientific approach, rather than relying on intuition or commonly accepted patterns. In addition to practical work, I explore the impact of psychology on the gaming experience, give lectures on UX, accessibility, and cyberpsychology, and try to combine academic knowledge with real-world game development tasks.
