Ty Underwood, Department Chair, Lake Washington Institute of Technology
Ty Underwood is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Game Design and Development school at Lake Washington Institute of Technology in Seattle, Washington. Ty is a games industry veteran with 10 years experience in game design, UX, art direction, bringing insight and a focus on pushing boundaries in game art and sustainable business practices across the games industry. Ty is a co-founder of Comradery.co, a cooperatively owned digital payments platform for artists and community organizers. They are a labor organizer for the games industry for Industrial Workers of the World and is Faculty Union Co-President of American Federation of Teachers Local 3533.
