Sessions do fill up and seating is first come, first serve, so arrive early to sessions that you would like to attend. Adding a session to your schedule does not guarantee you a seat.
David entered the game industry as a tester at Lucasarts in 1991, but soon joined Lawrence Holland’s independent dev team to work on their next game, X-Wing. Given the opportunity to move into level design, David demonstrated a talent for creating deeply immersive, challenging gameplay driven by strong narrative. He was a key contributor for the entire X-Wing series, becoming the Gameplay and Story Lead. From 2000 to 2008, David held senior or lead design positions at studios in the US and Sweden, working on several successful console titles, including Platinum Series Hits Blood Wake, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Saints Row. Currently a full-time lecturer in game design and production at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, David is also the principal designer and senior producer at Impeller Studios, a small, virtual studio whose debut title is In The Black, an innovative hard science space combat simulator entering Early Access this year.
