Can you spot the difference? Seekers Notes and June's Journey are two of mobile's most successful Hidden Object Games. Beyond the genre they share, they're very different games: a dark-fantasy mystery in a cursed city versus a 1920s detective story, with distinct core loops and player communities. Both games have brought environmentally themed content into their games through the Green Game Jam, at different stages and in very different ways.

Wooga brings five-plus years of green live-ops and a refined, resource-efficient playbook. Mytona brings a newer perspective and an approach shaped by its own world and players. In this session, they show that there's no single formula for purpose-driven content. What works is what fits the game.

Facilitated by Lisa Pak, Head of Operations at Playing for the Planet, the session opens with what the Green Game Jam data shows across participating games in 2026. From there it moves into two mini presentations and closes with a head-to-head discussion where the two studios compare their decisions, trade-offs, and results. Attendees will leave with a practical view of how purpose driven content affects engagement, retention, and player sentiment, and how to adapt this to their own game's identity and audience.

Takeaway

**How environmental content affects core live-ops KPIs (event engagement, retention, sentiment) with results from two established titles.
**Why fit matters more than formula: how each game's world, mechanics, and audience shaped its approach to environmentally themed content.
**What changes between a first green activation and a mature one, in resourcing, feature reuse, cross-team planning, and ambition.

Intended Audience

Live-ops, product, and marketing managers of free to play mobile studios, especially in casual and narrative driven genres, who are interested in finding new ways to engage their audience and are open to the idea of purpose-driven content earning a place on the roadmap.
