In this workshop we will go through some best practices for risk assessment to determine where you can anticipate player behavior problems in a game, identifying what good looks like for your game, and using behavior subgroups to create a framework for how to think about the player dynamics within a game. We will then spend time working on practical features or interventions to help enhance your desired dynamics and reduce the problematic ones. We’ll also look at how you can set and measure outcomes to assess how your game and its community are doing from a player-dynamics lens.
Attendees will leave knowing how to assess risk for disruptive behavior, identify healthy behavior for your game, and measure ROI as well as have a tool for thinking about player dynamics through your game lens, and potential interventions to try out at their own studios.
Game developers, designers, trust and safety professionals, and anyone interested in increasing prosocial behavior and mitigating disruptive behavior in your game.
