Krystal Cooper, Game Producer & Adjunct Professor, Rochester Institute of Technology
Krystal Cooper is a game producer, audio programmer, adjunct professor of game development and computer science at RIT. She brings over 15 years of technical leadership experience in games, media, and entertainment from Unity, Walt Disney Studios, and Industrial Light & Magic. As founder of Optical Creatures game studio and creator of the game industry's first HBCU Expert in Residence Program, she actively champions diversity in gaming through her work with industry organizations supporting underrepresented developers.Most recently she served as game engine producer on the upcoming She currently serves as the publications chair for the 2025 BIPOC Game Studies and is a passionate advocate for inclusive game development.
