Vanessa Fillion-Tremblay, Associate Animation Director, Ubisoft
Vanessa Fillion-Tremblay is an Associate Animation Director at Ubisoft Montreal, where she has spent over 10 years working across For Honor and Assassin's Creed Origins. She has contributed to For Honor throughout a decade of live development, growing from Gameplay Animator to Animation Team Lead and, in most recent years, Associate Animation Director. She contributed to the creation of new Heroes, from hands-on Gameplay Animation to Motion Capture Direction, while adapting to the evolving needs of a long-running production. Prior to Ubisoft, she worked as a Gameplay Animator at Warner Bros. Games Montreal on titles including Batman: Arkham Origins, Batman: Arkham Knight – Batgirl: A Matter of Family, and LEGO Legends of Chima Online. Throughout her career, Vanessa has consistently specialized in combat-focused gameplay animation, making fighting animation a defining part of her expertise. Her creative background began when she graduated in Fashion Design. That training brings a strong sensitivity to silhouette, character identity, and visual storytelling into her approach to animation. Mentoring and coaching are an important part of Vanessa's approach to leadership, supporting animators in developing their skills and growing in their careers. In 2025, she was nominated by her peers in the "Creative Powerhouse" category at Ubisoft's Women in Tech recognition event and served as an ambassador for UQAC's graduating class. She's been working in the video game industry since 2012.
