Daniel Kelley, Senior Director, Center for Tech and Society, ADL, ADL
Daniel Kelley (he/him/his) is the Senior Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Center for Technology and Society (CTS). He leads ADL's advocacy efforts to improve how tech companies from the social media to online games to LLMs address antisemitism, hate and extremism. He created ADL's programmatic work around online multiplayer games, authoring a benchmarking survey on hate in online games from 2020-2023, co-authoring the Disruption and Harms in Online Games Framework which has had wide industry adoption, and most recently launching the Online Gaming Leaderboard, the first independent rating system for safety in online games. He has also helped shape ADL's pioneering research on antisemitism and AI, including the ADL AI Index, the robust first public benchmarking of antisemitism in LLMs like ChatGPT. He has spoken on these topics at RightsCon, the Game Developers Conference and Trustcon, been quoted in the Washington Post, NBC News, Wired, Bloomberg and been consulted on these topics by representatives of the governments of the UK, France, Germany and the US.
