Speakers

Zara Varin (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys finding solutions to unique challenges, especially while embracing the joy of fandom to turn ideas tangible. While specializing in character-focused art and assets, Zara has experience throughout the development pipeline and is always eager to learn more. As a game developer, they got their start by creating fan mods and dove into game jams before working on small indie titles, mobile games, and eventually across the Halo franchise at Microsoft, where they acted as the bridge between in-game assets and the creation of consumer products. At Dual Wield Studio, she joined the team to champion the global consumer products program for Innersloth's Among Us, including fan-created designs. As the President and Creative Director of Dual Wield Studio, her experience as a dev alongside her lifelong fandom-oriented artistry combine to catalyze making cool memorabilia for the things she loves.
