Dmitri Williams is a Professor at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication, where he specializes in the games industry and gamer communities. Prof. Williams was the first researcher to use online games for experiments, and he has since focused on large-scale data analysis and machine learning. He has served as an expert witness to the US Senate and in federal court cases. His work has been featured on NPR, and in publications including the Economist, the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Chicago Sun-Times and others. Most recently, he is the principal of Griffin Scientific, a consulting firm focused on analytics for technology companies.
