Yongyuan Deng is a senior tool development engineer with more than seven years of developing experience. He is expert in rapid development using web technology stack. He also has in-depth understanding on front-end engineering and data visualization. These tools support a large number of games such as Revelation Online from Netease, Naraka Bladepoint from 24th Entertainment and Conqueror's Blade from Booming Tech.

Duan, Yinglin

Yinglin Duan received the B.S. degree from North China Electric Power University, and she received the M.S. degree from Zhejiang University. She is currently a researcher in NetEase Games AI Lab. Her research interests include deep learning, artistic creation, and applications in the game. She has published an article about in-game animation generations on IJCAI as the first author. Her work has been applied to game "Heaven Mobile". She is the developer and the screenwriter of AVG Game 'The Story of Chinese Witch'.

Feng, Ruidong

Ruidong Feng is a data mining engineer who graduated from the Hong Kong University. He is dedicated to the application of big data storage technology, data visualization, and machine learning in game development and operation. His recent work focuses on the use of different types of models and frameworks to support the production and operation of a variety of games, and achieved good results. He works for NetEase, Thunderfire UX, and Booming Tech. He is currently providing supports for the game "Conqueror's Blade" at Booming Tech, which has been launched globally and continually operated for three years, being well-received all over the world.

Kang, Zixiao

Zixiao Kang is currently a senior data analyst at NetEase ThunderFire UX (Leihuo UX), Hangzhou, China, where he analyzes game data, presents results, and gives advice. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University, with a master's degree in Business Analytics. Before that, he earned a B.A. degree in Economics at CCER, Peking University. Yongcheng Liu is in charge of NetEase Game UX department. He leads a UX department of 100 people, including data technology, UI/UX, user research, community management and so on. He has been involved in the development of a large number of successful NetEase Games products and is highly influential in the UX area of the Chinese gaming industry. Recently, he has also been the producer of the console version of Naraka: Bladepoint.

Luo, Shuhan

Shuhan Luo is a UI/UX Designer at Thunder Fire UX team, NetEase, China. He was graduated from Tongji University, with a master degree majoring in product service system design. He has participated in the development of the online tactical PC game called "Conqueror's Blade", which has been launched in many countries around the world and has been well received. In addition, he also helped the online release of the Marvel authorized CCG mobile game called Marvel Duel. He is currently the UX/UI designer of the martial arts action mobile game "Meteor Butterfly Sword". These game production experiences have given him a wealth of UX design experience, both in mobile games and on computers. This is the second year that he has participated in the GDC's talk.

Luo, Hao

Hao Luo is currently a senior user researcher at NetEase ThunderFire UX (Leihuo UX), working on various research projects to understand more about different players and global game markets. He graduated from Hitotsubashi University in Japan, with a master's degree in Applied Economics, where he started to pay more attention on people, economics and markets of different countries. His research interests lie in offering better insights about needs and differences among players of diverse cultures to game developers. And he employs both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to better understand how players in different countries behave in the same game, what kind of mixed gameplay elements could potentially be a big hit, and how game art could offer better immersion for players, aiming to improve gaming experience for more players. Recent projects Hao has worked on includes Justice Online, Marvel Duel, UNO! Mobile, and Naraka: Bladepoint.

Ou, Wenjie

Wenjie Ou, a Senior AI Engineer and NLP team leader in NetEase Games AI Lab, Guangzhou, China. He works on artificial intelligence application and natural language processing related to games. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Sun Yat-sen University in 2018. He won the first price in EMNLP 2020 ConvAI3 workshop.

Pang, Shengli

Title: UI/UX Designer

Shengli Pang is a recognized UX designer with 5 years of experience. He now works in NetEase and is in charge of the UX design and controller interaction design of game NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, making great contributions to the commercial success of the game. In addition, he has won Red Dot, IF and other international design awards.

Peng, Yunbo

Title: Senior AI Engineer

Yunbo Peng is currently a Senior AI Engineer and leader of Computer Vision Group in NetEase Games AI Lab, Guangzhou, China. He received his Master's degree from Peking University (PKU) in 2014 and joined NetEase Games in the same year. He is working on deep learning and computer vision, and is interested in image reconstruction, image classification, object detection, optical character recognition, etc. He focuses on the research and application of computer vision in online games and has led many projects which have been successfully applied to a number of popular games in NetEase.

Jue (Jade) Wang is a senior user researcher from Netease. Jade is currently responsible for the user's experience of a mobile game, aiming to clear up all experience issues and meet players' needs. Jade's daily work is to observe players' game behavior, analyze the reasons behind the behavior, and further dig out the potential needs as suggestions for development team. In addition, Jade likes to play all kinds of games, from Candy Crush to Final Fantasy XIV, and is addicted to simulation and rogue-like games. Jade hopes to make her own simulation game someday.

Minggao Wei joined Netease Games in 2019, as a Senior AI Engineer. Yu Xiong, a senior AI expert of the user persona group in NetEase Fuxi AI Lab, Hangzhou, China since 2018. He received the MA.Sc. degree in computer science from Nanjing University in 2018. His time at those companies have given him the opportunity to work with multiple genres and platforms, the biggest titles being Fortnite and League of Legends. Recently his work has taken him to focus more on R&D and game adjacent projects. He's active in the industry's games user research community as well, acting as one of the steering committee and organizing the mentorship program.
