Eve Crevoshay is a 20-year veteran of the nonprofit sector, with a focus on fundraising and executing strategy. Her background spans education, social services, and the arts, and she is committed to identifying and enabling systemic change. Eve is a member of the advisory boards for GDC (in the advocacy track), the Fair Play Alliance, The Games and Online Harassment Hotline (gameshotline.org), and The International Game Summit on Mental Health (TIGS); and is the recipient of the inaugural GamesBeat Up and Comer award (2020) and the 2022 Games for Change Festival Vanguard Award.

Figueiredo, Carlos

Title: Director of Player Safety (Minecraft)

Carlos has focused his career on creating healthy and thriving online communities for over 15 years. He’s the director of player safety at Minecraft (the best-selling game of all time) and a co-founder of the Fair Play Alliance, a global coalition of over 300 gaming companies and organizations that fosters healthy and thriving communities in online games by design.



Before joining Minecraft, Carlos held key roles in online safety at Two Hat and Disney Online Studios (Club Penguin). Throughout his career, he’s helped develop and implement tools and best practices to foster strong communities of belonging and prevent and
address harmful online behaviors, such as harassment and hate speech. He also works with industry peers and partners to promote a shared vision of online safety.

Tamellini, Maria

Title: Co-Founder & COO

Company: GamerSafer

Maria is an award-winning entrepreneur and the co-founder of GamerSafer, a safety tech company that works with multiplayer games, esports platforms, and online communities to deliver safer, fair, and welcoming experiences for players. Before GamerSafer, she led a successful social impact and B Corp-certified business for many years. She is a Stanford LBAN entrepreneur, a UC Berkeley Skydeck alumna, an AWS Impact Fellow. Maria advises organizations driving positive change in online spaces, such as Common Sense Media and TheGameHers. She has also collaborated with research and other impact initiatives from the Anti-Defamation League, Take This, Stanford Reach Lab, WeProtect Global Alliance, and Fair Play Alliance. She was born and raised in Brazil, currently lives in California, and advocates for women, Latinas, and other underrepresented groups in tech and games.

Voll, Kimberly

Title: CEO

Company: Brace Yourself Games

Dr. Kimberly Voll has been a game developer for over two decades, and leads Brace Yourself Games in Seattle, WA. A leading expert in player dynamics, she also holds a PhD in computer science, specialising in AI, and has dedicated much of her career to game design and player behaviour. Prior to Brace Yourself Games, she headed up an indie studio, with 4 years at Riot Games as a principal designer prior to that, where she helped launch the new League of Legends Honor system, worked on several of their recently announced titles, and was responsible for player dynamics best practices across all titles. Outside of her work with larger companies, Kim has released several titles as an independent developer, including Fantastic Contraption for VR. In 2017 she co-founded and today is the executive director of the Fair Play Alliance, an organisation of over 145 gaming companies that seek to drive healthy player dynamics as a core part of how we make games.
